MWA is the experienced firm of proven value. We take pride in maintaining a professional presence while operating with a casual, down to earth company with a sense of humor. Our office is a fun think tank environment with dogs asleep on the floor and music thumping. We play hooky on powder days. We choose to live in the mountains for a high quality of life. Our happiness shows in our work.
We are about action. Architecture is not architecture until it is built.
We listen to what our clients say, educate them to the multitude of options, help them weigh-off the options factoring aesthetics, function, environment, long-term vs short-term costs, marketability, flexibility, and user satisfaction through the ages. We create a synthesis of concepts generated by our clients and ideas garnered from careful consideration of the potential. Our goal for any project is responsibility to the community, the environment, the user, and the soul.
Although snow country is our specialty, many of our satisfied clients commission us to do additional projects around the world. While most of our projects are close to our home here in Truckee and Lake Tahoe, we have done projects in Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Washinton, Oregon, Baja, and throughout California and Nevada.
We are a mature firm with youthful energy and a proven track record. We have a track record of over one thousand projects since our inception.
The majority of our commission have been for high-end residential projects. We have also designed restaurants, multi-family housing, starter homes, industrial facilities, airport facilities, and mixed-use projects.
Our goal is to build strong relationships between the owner, builder and architect. We understand that architecture is much more than just pretty pictures. We develop builder friendly plans to ensure our clients vision is clearly delivered to the people building it.
MWA, Inc is a nuts and bolts firm with artistic talent and a strong understanding of how to create enriching places for happy people.
