We listen to what our clients say, educate them to the multitude of options, help them weigh-off the options factoring aesthetics, function, long-term vs. short-term costs, marketability, flexibility, and user satisfaction through the ages. We create a synthesis of concepts generated by our clients and ideas garnered from careful consideration of the potential. Our goal for any project is responsibility to the community, the environment, the user, and the soul.
Although snow country architecture is our specialty, many of our clients have had us do second or third commissions worldwide. We do a massive repeat business. Truckee and Lake Tahoe are the home to most of our works, but we have projects in Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Washington, Oregon, Baja, and throughout California.
We are a mature firm with youthful energy and a proven track record. Our project list numbers well over a thousand.
The majority of our commissions have been for high-end residential projects. We have also designed restaurants, multi-family housing, starter homes, industrial facilities, airport facilities, and mixed-use projects.
Our goal is for strong relationships between owner, architect, and builder. We like to think our plans are builder friendly. We draw sticks not just pretty pictures. We are responsible to budgets and timelines.

THE MWA MISSION
MWA, Inc. is the kick-ass firm. We take pride in maintaining a professional presence while operating a casual, down to earth company with a sense of humor. Our office is a fun think tank environment with dogs asleep on the floor and music blaring. You'll find us in jeans or shorts with Hawaiian shirts. We play hooky on powder days.
