Residential Project 001202
Purposefully understated. A modest simple cabin with its accessory garage. The two forms create a private rear courtyard and a covered dining porch. The functions of the masses are also split. The main gable structure houses a timber trussed great room with massive fireplace, entry, kitchen, and dining area. The massive operable window wall is oriented to focus on the 5th hole par 3 green in order to seemingly make it a private putting green. Below is hidden a wine cellar, media room, and bunk room. Across the connector is a master suite at ground level and three bedrooms with baths en suite. The mountain retreat articulated as a snooze cabin and a booze cabin. Wood of choice: vertical grain fir.Collaboration:
