Residential Project 990103
Rustic funk. Here the client developed the plan and handed off the rest. The rusted corrugated roof, the log structure, and the hand split 22 inch redwood shakes set the vocabulary for a unique interior. Four stones make a massive two-sided fireplace built prior to the foundation. The two-story connector links the garage with suite above to the main house enclosing another 4 bedrooms w/ baths en suite, great room, family room, dining, and a large family kitchen. The rear terrace includes a gas fire pit with random boulders for seating. Wood of choice: knotty pine.Collaboration:
