Residential Project 980103

Rustic elegance. The client commissioned a see-through home of granite boulders, timber trusses, a massive fireplace, copper roofing and a large ridge skylight. The great room being over 50 feet long is ideal for entertaining. The master suite is located on the main level while all three other guest suites are located upstairs. The home feels intimate for two yet home for a large family during the holiday season. The introduction of symmetry as an organizing element formalizes the home while the use of rustic materials both inside and out help give the home a casualness that invites one to relax.
