Alexandra Corpora
Structural Designer

Alexandra was raised in the Owens Valley, after which she moved to the Bay Area to earn a BA in Literature from San Francisco State University. She spent 5 wonderful years in Japan, and after returning to the states, was guided by a deep urge to build. This led her to an internship with a master cabinet maker, and a career as a finish carpenter for one of Reno's finest custom home builders. Currently, she and her cohort are helping to build the first accredited Architecture degree program in Northern Nevada at Truckee Meadows Community College, where she is on track to earn a Bachelors of Architecture. She is thrilled to continue her pursuit of building at MWA, and someday become a licensed architect. In her free time, you will find her in the desert, the mountains, or the forest, with a guitar and a notebook.

All Staff

I have worked with the MWA team as an energy consultant for almost twenty years, and have been impressed with their professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail since the beginning. The California Energy Code changes frequently, and MWA is always eager to understand how each iteration will affect their design process. Energy efficiency is clearly something that MWA values and integrates into their design process, and they seem happy to incorporate new and emerging technologies for their clients that are interested in being on the leading edge, while also creating highly efficient homes using more standard technologies for those who prefer that route.

MWA has my highest praise and recommendation.
