Headquartered in Truckee, CA. MWA is an experienced firm with youthful energy and a proven track record of over 2,500 projects since our inception in 1985. We take pride in maintaining a professional presence while operating as a casual, down to earth company with a sense of humor. Our office is a fun think tank environment with dogs asleep on the floor and music thumping. We play hooky on powder days. We choose to live in the mountains for a high quality of life. The principal architects, Kurt and Kristi, are not only extremely talented in architecture and design, but pay strict attention to what it is that the clients wish in their home or commercial project. So often architects are not adaptable but these folks are.
They also make a genuine effort to stay within budget though that is so difficult to control with costs bouncing all over the place and clients changing their minds during construction.
