Jake Henderson joins MWA as a Project Architect, bringing over a decade of experience spanning city planning agencies and architectural firms. This unique dual-sector background gives him a well-rounded understanding of project development. A detailed, design-oriented problem solver, Jake specializes in navigating zoning, site planning, and high-end residential design, focusing on close client collaboration from the first sketch to the final detail.
A proud Ohio native and graduate of The Ohio State University, Jake will always be a Buckeye at heart. However, the irresistible call of the mountain lifestyle—and the chance to raise his family in the sunny, mountainous climate of the Sierra Nevadas—ultimately drew them out West to the Truckee area. Off the clock, he fully embraces the Sierra lifestyle by walking his dogs, kayaking, skiing, and hiking with his wife and young daughter.

Kurt Reinkens and MWA designed my commercial building in downtown truckee after an explosion destroyed the historic building. Kurt delivered a building that fit nicely in old downtown truckee and the construction project came in on time and on budget. It does not get any better than that.
I was legal counsel to the design review committee of the Lahontan subdivision in Truckee during its first five years and as such saw all of the projects that came before the committee for review and approval. Kurt Reinken’s projects, and there were many, were nothing less than spectacular in design. Kurt is very bright and creative and I highly recommend him. Jim Porter, development attorney
