Natália Severdia
Director of Interior Design

Natália Severdia was born and raised in Slovakia, in a family of entrepreneurs where technical expertise and artistic sensibility naturally came together. From an early age, she was encouraged to notice the beauty in her surroundings and, in particular, the subtle differences between colors, textures, and materials. That early awareness became the foundation for a lifelong passion for design and the way spaces can influence how we experience the world.

For Natália, interior design is about understanding how people live, move, feel, and connect within a space. She approaches every project holistically, considering architecture, materials, light, furnishings, function, and the surrounding environment as interconnected elements of one story. Her goal is to create spaces that feel deeply personal, timeless, and effortless—spaces that support an intentional lifestyle while engaging all the senses.

Natália refined her design skills through the Interior Design and Interior Architecture Program at UC Berkeley, where she developed a deeper understanding of composition and the relationship between a space and its context. Her education, combined with nearly 20 years of professional experience, has shaped an approach that balances creativity with technical knowledge and thoughtful execution. She is also a NCIDQ-certified designer, reflecting her commitment to professional excellence and the highest standards of interior design practice.

Throughout her career, Natália has worked on luxury residential and hospitality projects across the world, including Bora-Bora, Panama, Los Cabos, Cozumel, Las Vegas, and San Francisco. Working across such diverse environments has given her a broad perspective on design and an appreciation for how culture, landscape, architecture, and lifestyle can inform a space.

Today, Natália is based in Truckee, California, where she focuses on residential and commercial projects throughout the Lake Tahoe area. Her work emphasizes a strong connection between indoor and outdoor environments, focusing on effortless flow, sophisticated pure materials, functional detail, and harmony with the surrounding landscape.

When she is not designing, Natália finds inspiration in travel, architecture, nature, and the ever-changing landscapes of Lake Tahoe. She is continually curious about the relationship between people and their surroundings—and always looking for the next material, place, or experience that can spark a new idea.

All Staff

We are writing to recommend Kurt Reinkens of MWA, lnc. based on his outstanding work on the design and construction of our home at Lahontan.

After purchasing a lot in the spring of 2006, we retained Kurt to develop plans. Within a few months, the plans were completed, we retained a contractor, and we obtained approval from Lahontan to proceed. The process was flawless and working with Kurt and his staff was a pleasure. He helped us select an excellent contractor and he developed a set of plans that maximized our views yet still preserved our privacy. Once construction was underway, Kurt worked closely with us and with our contractor to select interior and exterior finishes. He also developed an excellent landscape plan and helped us select a landscape contractor.

Because we live in the Bay Area, a lot of our communication with Kurt was by e-mail or telephone conference. We found him to be very responsive, so that designing and building a new home “long range” wasn’t a problem. We especially appreciated the fact that hurt would typically propose a number of solutions to an issue, give us the pros and cons of each, so we felt fully informed when making decisions.

Construction was completed exactly on schedule in September 2007. We are extremely pleased with every aspect of our new home and are very grateful to Kurt for an outstanding result.
