Headquartered in Truckee, CA. MWA is an experienced firm with youthful energy and a proven track record of over 2,500 projects since our inception in 1985. We take pride in maintaining a professional presence while operating as a casual, down to earth company with a sense of humor. Our office is a fun think tank environment with dogs asleep on the floor and music thumping. We play hooky on powder days. We choose to live in the mountains for a high quality of life. Acumen Engineering has teamed with Kurt Reinkens, Kristi Thompson and MWA on no less than 13 projects in the greater Truckee area over the past 11 years. The scope of the projects has ranged from single-and multi-family residential buildings to renovation of historic structures in downtown Truckee to commercial and mixed-use planned developments.
