During his course of study, Andru gained a deep interest in sustainable design and the use of natural materials in low/ no carbon footprint designs. Through personal experience he also increased his understanding and awareness of the importance of Universal and Accessible Design. How the built environment, including housing, can restrict or enhance a potential user’s ease of access is of great interest to Andru along with designs for Aging-in-Place, ADA accessibility and Deaf Space Designs.
